Today I want to share with my viewers what i've done so far to keep the kids busy for the summer. Some know that I am a mother of six and just doing take-out can take its toll on our family budget. So far we have spent a lot of time at different parks in our area. The public library here has a lot of activities like the summer reading program and different activities that they have scheduled for kids. I haven't done the vacation bible schools yet like I did last summer but I may. The kids really enjoyed the two days last week that we took advantage of the pool at the recreation center in my neighborhood. The cost per person was $3.00. This wasn't too bad because for three dollars a person can take advantage of their weight room, swim, or use the indoor basketball court. A person could even do all three. For free they have the tennis court, walking trail, and playground for children. Now a few days ago my husband purchased two packs of water balloons. I noticed that even my older children enjoyed this. The balloons were on sale and super cheap!
They really enjoyed these!
I want to share what I did today to keep my little ones busy. I took them to Dollar Tree. I love that place! Everythings a dollar! I purchased paint sets and anything that I saw that can help keep them busy. I tried to purchase things that would last for more than one day. There are tons of easy and inexpensive crafting and art ideas online. I enjoy recycling. The next time you throw away certain things think about how you can use it to help keep the kids busy.
Thank you so much for visiting! The name of my blog has changed but the concept is the same! Subscribe for more ways to save and earn money!! The site in under new construction so for now its unavailable.
