You can monetize your blog by placing ads on your blog and selling products that you promote from companies that will allow you to become an affiliate marketer. A blog basically resembles a website but only it contains information that you place on your blog for readers to enjoy. When people blog they usually have a niche area. This is not an area that is NOT copied from someone else if you want your blog to be successful. You will need to figure out what your areas of expertise are or what your hobbies are and start giving people interesting information about those areas. Stick with the same topic area. For example if your blog is about fashion then you should not blog about how to buy cars or something.
You must keep your blog updated weekly to keep people interested. Your goal is to gain followers. The followers will help you rank high on Google and other search engines and will help you sell products form affiliate ads or make money from the Google Adsense program.
You must be able to write effectively where people can understand you. You must be professional at all times providing top of the line content that sells. If you are not good at writing this is a good time to brush up on your writing skills by researching grammar rules.
If you are an affiliate marketer you can blog about products that you are promoting and write a product review. A review is simply something that you write that tells readers what you feel honestly about a product. Why you feel they should purchase it, and also what you don't like a bout the product.
Your blog can be like an online magazine or newsletter. Take a look at the income of top paid bloggers. Yes some people earn a full time living from blogging and I mean some people are making a lot of money!! Is there really a lot of money to be made as a blogger? I will answer that question in just a little bit.

You know people seem to make blogging seem totally easy. The truth is that it is not too hard to blog about something you like but making money blogging is a whole different story. I see a lot of success stories about how people make a lot of money blogging but not many people will tell the whole truth about it. It takes much more than just having a blog and putting products on that blog. It is a whole system that earns your blog money.
I see mini courses that people offer online for blogging which is good but it takes time, careful planning, studying the market, quality content, and SEO (search engine optimization to make a lot of money blogging) Don't assume that because you have a blog that people will see your blog. How will you get targeted traffic to your blog? If you do not want the hassle of creating your own blog there are other online blog communities that will pay you to blog on their sites.
